History of making paper cups in Iran

For the first time in the country’s history, Pars Paper Industries Group, under the management of Mr Ahmed Moghadam, succeeded in localizing the production of matte paper for disposable paper cups from the sugarcane plant in 2013.
Sanitary matte white paper, which is used to produce all kinds of disposable paper cups in various sizes, was available to paper cup manufacturers until 1393 Hijri by importing this type of paper to the country. In 2013, Pars Paper Industrial Group, under the management of Mr.Ahmed Moghadam, relying on the power of internal managers and experts, for the
first time in the history of Iran, succeeded in producing and localizing sanitary white paper in the country. This paper, which is produced after extracting the sugar from the stalk of the sugarcane plant (bagasse), is completely virgin and non-recycled and is available in the paper market in
weights of 160 GSM to 200 GSM.
